How far we travel in life matters far less than those we meet along the way.
--- Robert Louis Stevenson (2nd Link)---
This has definitely been one of my favorite quotes over the years, and in fact, I know I've given this painted quote as a gift to many people. Even with my extreme love for travel and seeing new places and experiencing new things, the overall message here is: people matter first. I just returned from an amazing reunion of people who have made a difference in my life, through our travels together, and I feel so blessed and thankful to have had such an experience. In our daily lives, whether traveling near or far, it is important to remember that the people we are on this journey with are the ones who matter the most in this lifetime. This can be a dear friend who helps to teach you more about who you really are, or a stranger whose gesture of kindness made a huge difference in your day. Today, take the time to tell the people you've met along the way how much you appreciate their influence, their friendship, and what they've meant to you and your journey.
